How to Choose a CCTV Camera in Karachi
Pick cameras for your site, not a brochure spec. Coverage, night view, and a working recorder matter more than megapixel hype.
Start with the job, not the brand
Karachi sites fail CCTV when cameras are bought as a pack and then pointed at the wrong corners. First list the spots you must see: main door, cash, parking, store room, and any dark side lane.
A home usually needs fewer, clearer cameras. A shop needs the counter and stock. A warehouse needs docks and the gate. Zaviyan Enterprise surveys the site before we sell a kit so you do not pay for unused lenses.
Indoor vs outdoor cameras
Outdoor cameras need weather housings and enough infrared for Karachi night haze and street lights. Indoor cameras can be smaller but should still cover the door people actually use.
If a camera faces a bright window or a shop shutter, ask for a model that handles glare. Cheap sensors wash out faces at noon and show noise at night.
Recording and mobile viewing
A camera without a working recorder is only a deterrent sticker. Check hard-disk days, backup power, and who can log in from a phone. Staff should not all share one password.
We set mobile viewing and give a short handover so the owner can pull a clip when something is missing. See our CCTV cameras page for the systems we sell and support.
Common questions
How many cameras does a small shop need?
Most single-shop floors need 3–6 cameras: entrance, counter, stock, and one outside if theft starts at the gate.
Do I need a DVR or NVR in Karachi?
IP cameras use an NVR. Analog or HD kits use a DVR. We match the recorder to the cameras so playback stays reliable.
